Forming the concrete surface with high-pressure water jets

Using our high-pressure water jets has a significant influence on how the surface will look after concreting. The 1,500 bar high pressure is strong enough to remove the outer formwork layer, then any unevenness or individual layers of the surfaces below. Decide on a structure and colouring suitable to the aggregate and colour of the stone used.

Removing concrete

DYNAJET ultra-high-pressure cleaners remove concrete from bridges, pillars, tunnels or other structures safely, precisely and flexibly. DYNAJET appliances really come into their own when removing concrete down to the reinforcements, all without the risk of vibrations, sparking or secondary damage. This completely avoids stress cracks, micro-cracks and erosion or deformation in the reinforcements.

We were able to prove this with the DYNAJET UHP 170 on the mammoth construction site at Ground Zero in Manhattan/New York City. 2,800 bar of pressure at a water flow of just 18 l/min managed to efficiently remove the particularly 984 kg/m² hard concrete used there (comparable to a B/C 100; practically the hardest concrete in the world) from the foundation and pillar construction of the building.

Up to 15 cm of concrete had to be removed from the foundation without damaging the reinforcements, meaning that jackhammers and other equipment were out of the question. The DYNAJET unit, on the other hand, took this task completely in its stride with the low-vibration use of water pressure preventing dangerous micro-cracks in the foundation.
