Different methods for graffiti removal with DYNAJET high-pressure cleaners

  • Wet blasting
  • Cold water high pressure cleaners
  • Hot water high-pressure cleaners

With all water-jet methods, the advantage is obvious - no dust formation, effective and clean. Wet sandblasting is the recommended method especially for natural stone, where it is not possible to paint over it as with concrete.

Regardless of which method you use, start with low power and slowly work your way up by increasing the pressure and temperature, reducing the distance or using the abrasive and always test on an invisible area.

Determine substrate and select method

On which surface do you want to remove graffiti?

Depending on the age of the graffiti and the varnishes and paints used, different settings are necessary. Please always test on an inconspicuous spot. If the substrate is damaged and cracks are present, you must be very careful not to cause further damage. If too much substrate is loosened, reduce the pressure, increase the distance and use less abrasive.

  • Metal containers/poles:
between 350 and 500 bar, at up to 95 °C. Rotating nozzles and flat spray nozzles are used here. Another advantage here is that stickers and rust can be removed at the same time.
  • Concrete/exposed aggregate concrete/washed concrete:
between 50 and 500 bar, at up to 95 °C. Flat jet nozzles, possibly rotating nozzles, and the DYNAJET WSS500 water-sandblasting system are used here in the wet sandblasting process.
  • Natural stone:
with a low pressure and in the wet sandblasting process with the DYNAJET WSS500.
